Discounted admission

According to the Government Decree No 194/2000. (XI. 24.) (Government Decree on benefits at museum admission) the following discounts can be applied:

50% off admission:
– between the age of 6 and 26
– above the age of 62

family discount:
– adults (relatives) + up to 2 children under the age of 18

The permanent exhibitions can be visited without charge:
– on 15 March, 20 August, and 23 October
– children under the age of 6
– adults above the age of 70 
– disabled person and his/her companion 
– person with professional admission card issued by the minister
– active educators (with a valid educator’s card) who work in public education. (Senior citizen educators receive 50% off admission above the age of 62, and they can visit the exhibitions without charge above the age of 70.)
– members of national professional organisations which are connected to museums and public collections 

Those eligible for discounts must prove their eligibility upon request.
Additional discounts may be given to visitors of certain exhibitions and certain groups of visitors by the director of the museum.
